Hi, I am trying to find a way to battle against the London as Black. Any suggestions?

1...d6 and 1...g6 are very annoying to a London player. The drawback being they are tough to play in the main lines (2. c4).

or you could try a Baltic Defence type set up with an early...Bf5

In his book "Winning with the London System", Soltis himself says that the Modern Defense (1...g6) is the best defense to the London System.

The good thing bout the London System for black is that he can choose a plan that suits his style and/or matches his repertoire ( if one has a repertoire yet)
For me since I'm a Nimzo and Queen Indian player I like the set ups with Nf6, e6, b6, Bb7, 0-0, and depending on the move order c5 or d5.
But it's much more about general themes then knowing moves by heart.
