30 bucks a year, dude. Tough times or not, it's not gonna make or break you. If you spend a lot of time on this site, there's no way it's not worth it to subscribe.

It is not an uncommon reason for cancellation! Which, even after all these years, I am yet to decide is a good or bad thing.

my chess intake before RHP = off and on for a few months over my lifetime.
After joining RHP = nothing but chess, left so many of my old hobbies behind.
Stopped joining tournaments in July 2008 and I still can't get rid of my games

RHP = more addictive than crack, and it's like a cold beer in summer...sure hits the spot.

Hi, my name is C guy1, and I'm a chess addict. When I first joined RHP i played 6 games at once. Then they offered a free non-subscriber tournament. As my games in progress sky-rocketed to 14, I could hardly contain my glee. Shortly after being eliminated, I subscribed. I now average over 100 games, and hardly have time for much else.
