I am playing against someone who has the same profile as someone else. Down to the letter. Is it possible to have as many alter-egos as e-mail addresses? Also I am bugged by the practice of lowering your rating by resigning all matches. Whats the point? Thanks in advance.

Maybe to make themselves eligible for banded tournaments well below their true playing strength? As for alter-egos, creating multiple accounts is expressly forbidden.

Actually the only real reason I responded was so that this could be the only thread on the forums to have two different dog avatars in it.

I recently resigned all my games because im in a period where I dont feel like playing chess and have less time for it. I hope that explains that.

Well, I'm not really devoted to my dog. My dog is devoted to me, and thus is in the "Devoted to Humans" clan.
