Ignore the queen, that's a win for black as I see it.

34 Rg2 Qd1+
35 Rg1 Qd5+
36 Rg2 Rxd7
37 Q moves Qd1+
38 Rg1 Qf3+
39 Rg2 Rd1++

...unless white feels that sacrificing the Queen on move 37 will hold things up, but I don't see it myself.

You are wrong on two counts:

1. Asking for comments on a game in progress is cheating.

2. A draw by repetition is not a stalemate.

(whether you are wrong in your analysis of the possibilities is beyond the scope of these forums due to number 1 above).

Go back and read my comments properly. I did not ask for any help. I asked if Using this repetition was ethically correct. Nothing more, nothing less.

BTW. All analysis on the game was made and posted here after the game finished.

"Bloody hell, why didn't we think of that?" said Broomfondle.
"I dunno, I guess because we're too highly trained," said Magicthighs.
(or something like that from the HHGTTG)

Very smart, thanks.

It is not at all clear what "am I right" means. I stated that you were wrong to post the game prior to completion. Others said as much, but as I haven't yet seen you apologize for this breach, nor even to note that it was a breach, I thought it time to repeat what others had stated.

Siskin's reply after you clarified your position is correct on the ethics. A draw by repetition is an acceptable way to save a hopeless position.

...d1 was the move I was thinking of when I looked at the board.

Wulebgr - as I read this thread an apology was posted:

Okay. Sorry. Wasn't asking for advice on a move though. I just wanted to know if it was ethically correct to force a stale mate in this way.
