I have this opening book by gm eduard gufeld "An opening repertiore for the attacking player" and it recomends this line in the vienna opening: 1.e4-e5 2.kc3-kf6 3.bc4-bc5 4.d3-d6 5.f4 and if black now tries 5...kg4... he recomends 6.f5-kf2 7.qh5 and he points out that 7...0-0 loses and that qe7 loses and qd7. The only thing he forgot is the simple 7...g7 and now it seems white will just lose his rook on h1!
Does anyone know this line and know what to do???

I assume you mean 7..g6? Dunno why Gufeld didn't mention the move, I'm sure I have seen it somewhere else - I think White should play 8.Qh6 Nxh1 9.Bg5! and this looks quite a bit better, for instance 9...f6 10.fg fg 11.g7.

thx , that variation would definitely work! the only thing i am still unsure of is what to do afther he plays 8...c6 instead of kxh1 this prevents the knight from getting to d5 and creates a square for the queen at c7. I actualy had this possition during a game and lost.
Maybe qg7 rf8 followed by ka4???

I found one recent game in my database with 9...c6, no idea how strong the players were but it looks like an effective bust:

McPherren,R - Walton,J
USA Golden Knights corr, 1996

1.e4 e5 2.Bc4 Bc5 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.d3 d6 5.f4 Ng4 6.f5 Nf2 7.Qh5 g6 8.Qh6 c6 9.Nh3 Nxh1 10.Ng5 d5 11.Qg7 Rf8 12.exd5 h6 13.Nce4 hxg5 14.Nf6+ Ke7 15.Bxg5 Qa5+ 16.c3 Bxf5 17.Nh7+ Ke8 18.d6 1-0
