I think murphy's law not only permits, but REQUIRES that, facing a player rated 300 points below you in both sides of an opening that fits your style perfectly, you'll get utterly destroyed.

It is indeed a dangerous thing to believe a game is won before the first move is made. Your opponent may be weaker, but if he's determined to win, he must be given respect.
