Game 3972148
I know this was a draw for my opponent before he exchanged queens at the end, and I suspect he had a "won game" earlier in the game. Can I get your thoughts on the following?
1. Who is ahead after 33 Kf2? How should Black proceed?
2. Is this a win for White after 42 ... Kxd7 or a draw? (I really doubt it's a win for Black at this point.)
Thank you.

2. I believe that because of the pawn structures, black has the advantage.
BTW: Nothing wrong with your opening. I recommend this line though
1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 (after 3.e5, black forces white to push the pawns too far up and white's screwed later in the game) dxe4 4.Nxe4 Bf5 5.Ng3 Bg6 6.h4 h6 7.Nf3 Nbd7 8.h5 Bh7 9.Bd3 Bxd3 10.Qxd3 e6
Thanks. I will check out that line in the Caro-Kann. So you think that the Advance Variation is bad for White because his pawns are too far forward? Hmmm. I've suspected that that was a weakness but it seems to cramp Black, too.
What's the best way to get a FEN from an earlier time in a game? RHP only seems to give you the FEN from the current status of a game. My best idea is to copy the whole PGN into a PGN viewer, go to that point in the game, then grab the FEN, if the PGN viewer displays the FEN at all times. Is there a better way?

After 44 ... Kxd7
Is it possible to display a flipped board (h-rank on bottom)? Thanks.
45.Ke3 Kd6/e6/c6
any non king move would lose immediately- for example45...g6 46.e5! Ke6 47. Kd4 h3 48.Kc4! and black is in zugzwang- an easy win for white. 45..Ke7 46.Kd3 Kd6 (any paw move would lose for black- 47.Kc4 g6 48.h3, and black is in zugzwang. Kf7 also loses- anyway, after 45,,,Kd6/e6/c6 46.Ke3 Kd5 (Black must stop Kc4) 47.g6 h3 48.Ke3 Kc4 49.d5 Kxd5 50.Kf3 Kd4 51.Kg3 Ke4 52.Kxh3 Kxf4 53. Kh4 Kf3 54.Kg6 f4 55.h4 Ke3 56.h5 f3 57.hxg7(57.h6 f2 58.h7 f1=Q 59.H8=Q Qf5+!! 60.Kh5 Qh2+ 61.Kg4 Qxh8 0-1) 57...f1=Q 58.g8=Q, 1/2-1/2

learn your Kann Theory before making such accusations!
1. e4 c6
2. d4 d5
3. e5 Bf5
and 4. Nf3 or 4, Nc3 are both playable!
the game move, 4. c4 is a bit out there, and after cxd5, black is better to recapture with cxd5, instead of exd5...

4. ... g4 is indeed mainline, and we stayed book for much of the opening, but 4. Nc3 and 4. Nf3 are other options that I prefer over pushing the g-pawn...

then he can push his h-pawn and it should be able to help pass either itself or the g pawn, correct?

I have made at least 2 major blunders in RHP games (still in progress, so no further comments at this time), costing at least a piece each time. Plus, I thought about that sentence for a long time and it still came out wrong. I don't think I have made any blunders like those in all my other games on RHP (maybe one that was close).

Oddly, however, I am perfect on Chess Tactics Server today, with a streak of about 50 correct problems going back to yesterday.
Originally posted by HolyTMy brain really checked out yesterday. I meant, "8th rank on bottom." Is there any way to display a board with the 8th rank on the bottom, the 1st rank on top, the a-file on the right, and the h-file on the left? Thanks.
