Not perfect of course, so would be interested in seeing where white could have done better and black(me) also. I know at the end he could have drawn with perpet but I knew if I got the king to e7 when his queen was on the back row other than on a8, it would have been safe from checks and I had immediate mate threats, several in fact. So he missed the perpet but should he have taken the queen in the first place?(with the rook). My opponent was Seancool, rating mid 15's.

I think white pressed wrongly but I preferred whites position up to maybe move 20. 20 hxg would probably have been better?

I cannot see a good alternative to taking the queen by that stage making the queen sack a good one especially as that e2 pawn is worth a rook on its own.

Whites 4th move Nxd5 looks strange to me.

I predict a collection of other moves would be better like 4.Qf3 or 4.Bc4 or maybe 4.d4

I like the Q-f3 thing. Also I think he would have been better going for the Scandanavian Polka, maybe with 3 c4. Does 3 c4 put white behind in development too far?

No perpetual here after 34...Bg6 instead of 34...Kf6.

Somehow the game Schiffers - Chigorin popped into my mind
when I saw the Queen sac and Rook and Bishop hounding the King.

    Seancool - Sonhouse.

    Schiffers - Chigorin

Here it is with the Missed Combination. Chigorin, alas, failed to find
22...Rh1+ and the forced mate. He played 22...b6 and the game was drawn.

Three pieces always mate and.....Check all checks.

Chigorin's choice opening may raise a dogmatic eyebrow or two.

Wow, I'll take being compared to Chigorin🙂 Have to admit, did not see the bishop block, would have ended that one a few moves earlier! I would have seen that OTB I think.

Sick isn't necessarily negative in this context. 😛
