Ave number of moves

Any one know roughly average # of moves per game, and how much it changes with ratings?

My average is around 30-35 moves per game, taking into account drawn-out endgames & earlyish resignations on both sides.

I play for a result either way & draw very few games, so for more cautious players the average number of moves per game could be 40+.

thats probably the same for me... some games go really short, 10-20 moves, others go long 40-60 moves... so it averages out to around 30-35

I have only 8 games going, but most are well over 30 moves - seemed long - maybe I am getting more patient.

it also depends on the players and how inclined they are to resign when down material.
