Do you have those days when you open up RHP and look at some games, but no matter how hard you look you just can't see anything worth playing? Im having one of those days today. Experience has taught me not to move for the sake of it....i know next time i open my Games things will be different.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? It's happened to me many times before. Why is it that some days you can see the quirks in a position straight away, yet other days you can't even work out simple 3 or 4 move combinations with out over looking something blatantly obvious? 😕

GEEZE, it's no wonder I can't get above 2000. I guess if I realy want to get ahead I'l have to stop playing here while I'm "trying to relax", eh?
Originally posted by arrakisI work night shifts. I do 3 days on 3days off. The day when i start my shifts, im generally up by about 10 in the morning. I'll be up all day, then i start work at 10 until 6 in the morning. This, i have found, is THE worst day for me to update my games. Im ok for the first hour or two, but fatigue sets in all of a sudden (and can easily go un-noticed by me) consequently i make pour moves in 40 games. Im then stuck with bad positions for weeks after! I've taken to a routine of looking at my games, finding a move a like, then going away for an hour and doing a final check b4 i move. It's slow going but seems to work. I've had a glass ceiling of 1650 since i joined here which i've only just broken the other day. I've been looking at my games for the last 6 hours but i've only made 3 moves. 1700 here i come! (with a little bit of luck)
