Hi, I'm somewhat new to this board, and i want to ask a question. What, in your opinion, would be the best chess game on this website? If you could, please do not send a game that ended by timeout, because i would like to use the game to help me with chess.

Now this Sir is an excellent idea.

OK EVERYONE! pick one game (not one of your own).

An explanation as to why you think it's good, then give the game.

I really enjoyed this unbalanced game: fiendish tactics; sacrifices; kingside attack and counterattack; even a queen trap.

Here's my pick. It's nominally an English, but some of us will recognize it as a Sicilian Accelerated Dragon, Maroczy Bind with Nc2 variation, with colors reversed.

It features two things:

1) A courageous lower-rated player aiming high (challenging the number one player on the site); and
2) A queen trapped right in the middle of the board.

The best thing about this game is that it's a symmetrical english that didn't end in a draw.

It is a great idea to pick the best game on this website, and I'll have a go at it too. However, I must warn the original poster that if he is looking for truly the BEST game, he most likely won't find it on this site, considering that as far as I know, we don't have any IMs, and certainly no GMs.

thanks for all the games you submitted everybody! I've looked at all of them, and i must say that they're quite inspiring. especially the one sent by Paul Legget. I had never seen a chess game like that.
