Hi there, I am a fan of Tal, I just love to attack, the only thing I don't want to play, is a refuted opening.
So I was asking, What would be the best gambit to try as black, as I play a lot of game as black, which gambit should suit me well, (not benko, exchanging piece is not my style. )
1.d4,d5 2.c4,e5!?
I believe Morozevich used it with success.
Hi, i play a lot of gambits so maybe i can help
some good gambits vs d4 : the albin yes, or the budapest (d4 Nf6 c4 e5)
But black can spoil your fun with 2Nf3...
Not a gambit but often leading to very tactical play : the semi-slav (but once again white can choose very calm lines here too)
Vs e4 : the jaenisch (or schlieman) against the spanish has been played by radjabov so it shouldn't be easy to refute! : e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6 Bb5 f5
much less sound is 2...f5 (latvian)
Another very fun line, and very big scorer for black at lower levels, is the traxler counter-attack : e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6 Bc4 Nf6 Ng5 Bc5!?
The big trouble with gambits is that you have to learn a lot of theory, because the margin of error is so much thinner than in "normal" openings.
I've followed greenpawn's advice to post diagrams...a bit longer but much more visual!
If you like an attacking game, you don't need gambits! Tal didn't need them, kasparov didn't need them, Alekhine didn't need them. Just choose an opening where no pieces are exchanged early (sicilian comes to mind against e4 and again the king's indian for example against d4) and play sensible moves and attack when possible.
There is no opening or gambit that will ensure an attack.
