My win against highest rated player, Bedlam who was between 2000 and 2100 before he left the site. I waited til today to click the skull, thinking he may return eventually but i think all hope is lost now.

Game 2812258

What are your thoughts? Ill be working on my analysis over the next couple of days and post it.
Bedlam himself said that it should be a an easy white win with correct play, so i was just waiting til i was sure he wasnt returning so i could claim win and get this analysed.

Okay my analysis.

1. e4 c5
2. Nf3 Nc6
3. d4 cxd4
4. Nxd4 Nf6
5. Nc3 e5 A GM told me recently that this is only played at high levels by those who really know what they are doing due to the backwards d6 pawn and in the end it is likely that a pawn will be lost due to this, unless the player really knows how to play this opening. At this level though it isnt such a large problem.
6. Ndb5 d6
7. Bg5 a6
8. Na3 b5
9. Nd5 i didnt want to double the pawns on f6 as i heard that it got really complicated and didnt want that against a good player, so went for a position i would feel more comfortable in.
9.. Be7
10. Bxf6 Bxf6
11. c3 Bg5
12. Nc2 iv never played this variation before so im picking out moves from database that look simplest for now, but also with a few different games leading on so less chance of me being brought out of database too early on.
12.. 0-0
13. a4 Rb8
14. axb5 axb5
15. Bd3 Be6
16. Nb4 Nxb4
17. Nxb4 Qd7
18. 0-0 f5? Im pretty sure this move is bad, and cannot help lose a pawn.
19. exf5 Bxf5
20. Bxf5 Rxf5
21. Ra6 Rf6 all of these moves for black are forced if he is to try and hold onto a pawn, i think maybe if losing a pawn is inevitable he should give the pawn up with the best attacking chances, and this isnt what happens as i get to exchange off quite a bit.
22. Qd5+ Kh8
23. Ra8 getting rid of a rook no matter what, i want to cancel out the f-file he has as much as possible.
23.. Rbf8
24. Rxf8 Rxf8
25. Nc6 Bh6, a waiting move i think
26. Qxb5 not Nxe5 because Qf5 then wins
26.. e4
27. Nd4 threatening to exchange off queens
27.. Qf7
28. Qe2 trying to get back to defend as easily as possible and wait for the endgame which should be an easy win.
28.. d5
29. h3 g6
30. b3 Bg7
31. Qd2 Rc8
32. Ne2 looks the best to keep things simple.

As i say i waited 90 days to time out as i wanted a resignation, but id rather get some more analysis.
Cheers.
