Anyone know how to persuade Fritz 8 or Chessmaster 10 into making the pieces invisible so that one can practice blindfold chess? I know I read there's a method on Fritz, but can't recall how. They don't mention it in Fritz's index or the Chessmaster 10 manual. Anybody have an idea?

In Chessmaster 9, I believe it's an option while setting up the game to check the box that says blindfold. However, I don't know how much 10 is different from 9, and I have no idea how to do it in Fritz. Let me know if you find out.

In Chessmaster 10, go to "Rules" when you create a new game, and choose "blindfold".

Just take care, the Soviets banned blindfold displays in the 1930's for fear that mental health could suffer!

I heard that many GM's only look at the bourd when their opponett makes a move, then looks away and caculates everything in their head.
