As an addendum to the above, I have just logged into chessgames.com and had a look through Bobby Fischer`s games. The database has no record of him winning with white when using the English Opening. I find that somehow comforting.

That might have something to do with him being only a 1.e4 player. 🙂

I'm pretty sure Bobby started using c4 at the end of his match with Spassky. So there should be some games somewhere.
