You forgot all about your little Horsey on b8. Shame on you!

Well I see what my major blunder is ( losing a rook for free) I was trying to get my knight out but I didn't find a good time to get it out at the time.

You shouldn't have played 10. ... Qd2. It might have been a "book" move (I doubt it) but you should never put your queen in front of your king. Of course there are exceptions but as you can see, from move 10 onwards, black is tormented by the fact that moving either king or queen will result in a nasty discovery.

well i think that I should have move my king earlier after I went to Qd2. When he moved his king that's when I sould have moved mine.

Move 18 was OK.

It was 19...Qd7 which lost you the game. Better was 19...Nd7.

Your main mistake started at your first move, e4 in response to f4, just gives the opponent a free pawn from the start. Also at around move 10 or 11 your bishop got attacked by the pawn and you responded by putting queen out to pin the pawn then it promptly got unpinned with the white bishop, now you noticed it was too late to save the bishop, moving it to check just gets it trapped so you took the pawn with your knight. Before all that you should never have put the queen out to try to pin the pawn, it blocks the escape route for the troubled bishop, which could have gone back home and then to fiancetto position to put pressure on the long diagonal a1 to h8, where it needs to be on g7. make sense? your game started out badly from move one literally.

So I assume you are ready for a rematch...

Next time you get an open spot, send me a pm/challenge.

I didn't know that was an official gambit, I have played over some of the games and it is an interesting opening, I guess GM's wouldn't play it though. You can, however, get caught flat footed if you don't study it. The bit with the queen move still stands though, it blocks the bishop's escape.

I don't think you lost it for free, TM won it! He co-ordinates his pieces rather well i think, after loosing his rook, though Kd1 i don't understand. 0-0 looks a little better, unless im missing something...

I agree I dont like playing full gambit games.. I think you wont find many GM's who play full gambits in match games either..
and you gambited your center pawns away .. some people say center pawns are worth 2 pawns.. so repeectivly you lost 4 pawns for 1 pawn..

It is a proper line though. I've seen this gambit played at a strong level (approx 200 bcf) which iguess is about 2100-2300 with black winning. It might not work against fritz, but against a 1500 player (No disrespect to TM) it's fine.

It's the From Gambit, very respectable. Played by Gms.
