Since I have no experience in how clubs handle ratings and levels, I would like you to Please give the theory behind and how is your club handling rating.

I am thinking in creating a rating sistem for the club that I go, its a new club.

Thanks

I dont want you to give me the ecuations and stuf that is complicated since I figured that out on the internet already. I just want to know:

Do you play a tournament every weekend to rate players?

Every game that you play in your club is rated unless you preffer not?

How do you divide levels, A=1800+, B=1800-, C=1200-, or else?

Wich rating do you give to new players?

And other things that I may have overlooked that you know would be great help.

I was thinking in making a 30 games per player tournament with the players that we have until now, so they have a non provitional rating.

Then I was thinking about a rated tournament every month.

Do you live in the USA? If so you should probably contact them about getting official USCF ratings...

I haven't been to a club in a long time, but I'm pretty sure most of them have ladders within the club. If you want official ratings, you have to find out about submitting the games to your National Chess Organization (eg. USCF).

We don't know, we don't live there. You'll have to look it up.

I’m sure the Dominican Republic has a national organization. Go to the FIDE web site above and see if your country has a national organization. If so, the contacts will be listed. They should be able to help you.
