Chess clubs

Does anyone know of any chess clubs in west London.

I (until recently) played for Ealing chess club. They meet at the Harvester pub/restaurant which is 2 min walk from Boston Manor tube station (turn left out of the station and it's on the right just after the parade of shops). They meet on Thursdays from 7.30 onward.

There are some lovely people there, particularly the club chairman David Ebbet, however, be aware that if there is a match on you might feel that no one is welcoming you. This is not the case, they are simply tied to the clock... 😉

If you turn up, look for David, he will welcome you properly. Say that James Pack sent you and let him know that i DO intend to pay my subs from last year just as soon as i can make it down to the club on a Thursday which is proving difficult at the moment. 😉
