I guess it would be ive been in this situation before and after infact everytime ive tried d6 I came out losing in material later on whether its my doing or his, with Qa5 this never seems to happen to me so I always go Qa5 but I guess it would make Qa5 look silly if White were to respond with bd2

Qb6 is better attacking whites d pawn and stopping him from moving his c1 bishop becuase he would lose the b pawn
