We had a really annoying kid visiting the club.
Annoying Kid: “Wanna play?”
Me: “OK”
After mopping up the board with him…
AK: “You’re pretty good. At home I hardly ever lose.”
Me: “Around here I hardly ever win.”
AK: “I don’t believe that. Wanna play another one?”
Me: “No, thanks.”
AK: “Come on man! Let’s play another one. “
Me: “I don’t want to.”
AK: “Why not?”
Me: “I want to play somebody good.”
AK: “(Expletive deleted) you (expletive deleted)!”
I thought of a funny situation that once cropped up.
My opponent had played on a long time after he should have resigned in a game and I was just getting on with checkmating him and when I said checkmate at the end he looked cross and said something like "of course it is mate, do you think I wouldnt know that" so I told him that I thought he didnt understand the game since he had wasted so much time playing on a lost position - that didnt go down well...
I was playing a blitz game, I was on the white side of a king's gambit, and I sacked SOOO much material that reall made for a kick butt game. it was all forced, and it was pretty. anyway, while I'm sacking material left and right, he says (by about my third sacrafice) "you're not playing your rating..." and he went on with his suspicions of how I must be cheating to get my rating up to 1400. (being blitz, I never got to see dude's rating, and I was too lazy to search him for it.) so I just say "ok" and keep playing, finally, after about another ten moves, my mating combination had become obvious, and he couldn't do anything about it. there was a really long pause after I made my move, and he must have been going over everything to make sure that he couldn't stop me... and then he says "a hole" and leaves. Well, I sent him a message saying "From the bottom of my heart, I am truly sorry that you suck at chess"

now, if he comes across this, he will do two things:
1.) scold you for daring to blame a loss on a misclick. the way this site is set up, you would have to have a freak muscle spasm. you would have to "accidentally" make a move, and then a muscle spasm would have to jerk your hand over to "submit move" before you could correct it. there are no such things as misclicks on this site, only blunders. you, my friend, had a blunder.
2.) after my "trying new things" comment, he will bring up that Poisoned Pawn Game, again, just so he can laugh at it, again.
