1.Have a go at 2200 (though, it might be the sort of rating that takes several years before I have refined my game enough to hang with players of that level).

2.Coach a player to 1800 strength.

3.Try and find a compromise between my very positional over the board game and more tactical correspondence play (quite likely by playing more positional games on here, as I lose too often when I try and mix it up in 1 hour games)

4.Finish Think Like A Grand Master and Play Like A Grand Master by kotov - I started them both and learned the secrets of planning, but I feel like there is probably alot more for me to learn yet.

5.Attempt getting to the final of the 2008 championship (with a favourable grouping, quite possible)

6.Try and be part of a winning league team, in division 1!

7.Win 4 more hardcore tournaments - therefore being able to crown myself "The King Of Hardcore"

Interesting, I say "4 - Getting in the 1800s here", and in the next post, you say you want to coach someone to 1800 ?

I don't really believe in fate, but in this case, it's clearly a sign of the gods !

1-to finish in top 5 in some important tournament for me(and from this to get a good ELO~2050)

2-to finish the current book(Silman's Workbook) and read 5 more books (in this order: Vukovic: Art of Attack in chess; Dvoresky's: Endgames Manual; Kotov: Think like a GM; D Marovic: Understanding Pawn Play in Chess; Kotov: Play like a GM)

3-to learn and play ...[text shortened]... FM (I have only 2 draws against them in long games until now)

5-to get 2000+ rating on RHP
how is it going for you ?
for me:
1- done
2- lagging behind a lot (not even 1 completed book)
3- in a decent progress (practiced some fast games with Alekhine and Benko)
4- done
5- lagging behind a lot (=no progress)

more blitz, less CC.
done & done. not much rating progress though, but I think my understanding of blitz has improved. probably something needs to 'click' before my blitz rating makes the next jump.
