Ok I am a bit touched when it comes to computers. I really enjoy chess , and it is the main reason I have a computer. Anyway can someone explain what chessbase is I have been told it would be a wise investment.

Chessbase database software can get a little expensive, and it's geared towards the serious chess player. Most beginners and novices wouldn't benefit much from these specialized database programs.
The free Scid database program can give you an idea of what a chess database program can do, although the Chessbase database software is a little more refined.
