I was wondering if anyone has gotten both chess games that are available for PSP. I've pretty much read that the tutorials for both are either worthless or non-existance, but I can't find a single review from someone who has studied the game, so I really can't tell how strong the game engine is.

In particular I'm wondering:

1) Appx what are the game's rating in blitz?

My experience in video chess game is that the overall strength is a complete waste since it takes so long for the video game to make even basic moves in the middle game/end game. I'd much rather play a bunch of bullet/blitz games at a lower setting.

2) How varied/interesting/modern are the opening books?

This isn't a major need since I could always enter an opening position, but when I get 10 minutes of "freedom" from work/kids/etc. I'd rather just play two quick games than enter a position and play one.

3) How easy is it to enter games/positions and then save them for future reference? (i.e. enter a grandmaster game that I want to study to death or end an game position that I want to practice over and over again). Can you name your games? etc.

4) Endgame strength?

Again I've seen many a video game play 2000 middle game tactics only to completely fall apart in the endgame. IMHO, I feel like weaker chess engines should be given separate ratings for middle game and end game strength.

Thanks in advance,
Marc
