Hello everyone!
Does anybody here know anything about Chinese Chess (Xiangqi)? I've just started playing it a little and would be very grateful if anyone could point me towards any literature on tactics available on the internet.
Based on my very tiny amount of experience with it, Chinese Chess looks like a very interesting variant on the Western version, giving a much more open and fluid game.

I played it many years ago, but did not get seduced away from our chess.
An intro can be found at:

Thanks Sintubin and dfm.
I recently found itsyourturn.com and started a few games of Chinese Chess (got tonked in the first one sadly...)
Another handy site I came across was www.chessvariants.com. However if anyone knows of a site that gives a little more of the strategy (in English!) I'd be grateful.

Here's an interesting site, Mick: World Champion Lu's match against the "world," similar to the demonstration that Kasparov did against the world.

Links to analysis on the game (well over my head, BTW).
Also this one, which has great links...

...including to this site of basic strategy/tactics:

I've played Chinese Chess before
Go to er... Yahoo! Games, Chinese Chess, and How To Play (or something like that).
As for the literature, Mikado you can try this site that offers four books on tactics in english (free download in pdf format): http://wxf.hypermart.net/Xq%20Tactics.pdf
Hope this helpsπ
