Anybody have any experience with the Cochrane Gambit on white side of Petrov? Have you every tried it on Rhp or other correspondence sites? I've used it in blitz a few times and it's well-suited for that sort of thing, but i wonder if anybody's dared to try it in correspondence. You don't see much analysis around.

The Cochrane gambit gave me trouble as black here: Game 103955

(although I was in trouble from the outset, given the strength of my opponent)

A database should keep you out of trouble in the opening. Any player that is performing at about 50 to 75 point pluss rateing strength above your play will probably win the game no matter which opening is played.

few GM use this system ... I only play it ( and I am an amateur player ! ) on blitz or bullet chess !

Cochrane gambit is very nice , it creates a real weakness at the Black's Kingside ...
see how Topalov fights against Kramnik on 1999 !
