Does anyone know of a chessboard program that will import PGN files *and* will allow me to view the board in 3D as if I was playing OTB. As I'm new to internet chess, I find that I'm mising too much because I'm not used to viewing a flat board in two dimensions.

Regards

But chess is a two-dimensional game.

Unless you're thinking of "3D Chess."

Fritz, Hiarcs, and so on all support PGN and offer 3D boards.

I believe you can import PGN files into Chessmaster, which offers an abundance of 3D boards. At least the old versions CM 5500, for example, supported PGN format.

Unless you have Fritz X3D, and those funky glasses, no 3D boards look like real boards. The nice thing about correspondence is that you have time to set up the game on your dining room table.
