Friends of the immortal game, the question has been raised in my RHP chess club
about the legitimacy of consultation matches, between different clubs as some are
worried that it might be construed as a transgression of the terms of agreement, that
is, one shall not consult with a third part etc etc I myself personally think that to cite
the above rule within the context of consultation games, between two clubs is not a
little pedantic and simply inapplicable within the context of consultation games. When
I first joined the site we had a consultation match, the Scotland club v RHP
International, an Evans gambit i believe which ended in a draw and it was a great way
to learn from more experienced players. What think you, can you offer a comment to
put our friends, who are zealous for rules and regulations at ease?
Nah!
You are consulting with each other as one club or clan on the same
game you are all playing.
However.....
What happens if one merry chappie decides he wants to sound clever
and appear good and uses a box on the game to sift out good/bad moves.
Everyone is duly impressed and follows his advice.
The game gets moderated and found it has a 99% match up.
Do they ban the whole clan?
