I tried out Convekta's chess site (chessok). It is a flash site, like uchess, and has a decent appearance. I ran into a serious bug though. I offered a Queen exchange which my opponent accepted (it was a blitz game and I was way ahead on time, so I was making forcing moves). The thing is, when I recaptured on f5 with my Bishop, he captured my bishop with his pawn on g7! The game score says g6 for the move, but the pawn was on f5 and I had no bishop. This is unbelievable. I expected better from convekta. Anyone else have any experiences with this site?
Here is the game score (I'm white). You can clearly see move 19. the score shows that the bishop was captured on move 21, but it wasn't there to be captured. On my move 21, I played h3, then it was my move again. I wasn't half asleep, and wasn't intoxicated.

Originally posted by ShinidokiMy blitz rating at FICS usually stays close to my USCF OTB rating. However, the site become more frustrating as each month passes. Lag seems to be growing worse, and a substantial number of my losses are due to time scrambles in which my opponent seems to gain time while I wait for his/her move.
I just went on that, and Guest 154 has let to loose at 3'0 Blitz, even against the 2000's
So, I'll stick to FICS, more 'modest' ratings and better competition
I'm about to shell out the money for ICC again, as they have playing pools that exclude those whose lag exceeds certain measures, and ICC permits filters for lag--something FICS does not appear to have implemented.

I was playing on Babas chess and all of a sudden my opponent was placing pieces on the board that were in his jail! it turns out it was a style of play called "crazyhouse" and you were allowed to do that.
you should read seeks before you accept them.
