I think Adams is the dark-horse here. He's looking sharp. Short looked super-sharp with Re5!! against Morozevich. Second half of the tourny Kramnik should wake up. Leko is looking great. Topalov I thought would do really well, until Adams shut him down. Hear Kasparov on Morozevich's poor performance at the russian super GM tourny? "Well, he's not playing 'George' anymore" LOL. He's certainly getting pounded at Corus as well.

Kasparov: "Perhaps the last straw was watching the Corus tournament in Wijk aan Zee currently underway in the Netherlands. I was forced to give up my invitation to play in this event when FIDE insisted that the match would take place in Dubai on conflicting dates. It breaks my heart to watch such a great event from the sidelines. It hurts me, and I believe chess is poorly served as well."

Yes that was the reason. Short always has to mess up after a nice win, doesn't he. He was 'doing it' for a while there. 🙁

So the Olympics will solve everything?
But the gold medal winner at the Olympics isn't always the World Champion.
The World Chess Champion should be decided by matches not by a single tournament. It's a different discipline.
