Cost of tuition in the UK

I am considering a bit of tuition. I am based in the UK and get a lot of mobile minutes at night so a phone based one would be good.
I am working in Newbury, although if phone based, that is irrelevant

Anybody got an advice or experiences on this.

I am about at a level of 1400-1450

Have no personal idea of what he is like as a tutor, but have heard good reports from a couple of friends who have worked with him, and he seems a decent bloke. Would love to know whether anyone else has found this - or any other tuition in the UK - to be any good.
