This a very good one too. Restless Soul was the first one that I saw mentioning it.

    Edit: http://www.chesstactics.org/
And if you want to brush up on your tactical themes this is a very good site too.

chessprob: looks bad but is very good.

chesstempo: looks pretty but is not so good.

CTS: 'best by test', hands down.

the only problem people have with CTS is vanity: they don't understand how rating systems work, think they should have a 'higher' rating, start guessing the moves, get disappointed when they can't solve the easy problems correctly, and go look for a place with 'higher' ratings. the excuses range from 'too short time limits' to 'getting harder problems', but the reality is all they're really looking for is a pat in the back in the form of higher ratings.

So you impose on our helpfulness instead of simply spending a few seconds to Google or look something up in your PC? That shows a complete lack of consideration for others. OK, I'll remember that.

Glare all you want, but I feel I've sufficiently determined your personality, and I don't care for it at all. As far as I'm concerned, you're persona non grata.

that's true... I don't have problems with it on my 24" screen though, but I bet people with bad eyes and a small screen do...

I just went and checked chesstempo after a long break. nothing had changed and the board is just as small as the CTS board. but wow, have the ratings inflated!?! the guys who used to be at the same level with me, 1700 in chesstempo blitz, well they're now 2700!! it seems the rating system isn't even near to being stable... no wonder people like it, as it's extremely easy to get huge ratings...

Yes, my current thread on rhp 😛

Just joking, I do not remember any particular by if you google something like "chess tactics server" or "tactics training" you can find dozen of similar servers, even with a little bit slower and harder tactics than on CTS. But emrald.chess rules so far
