I recently picked up a 6 of Czech Mate Beer. It has a pic of what appears to be a Bishop, riding a bridled Knight ( Russian style maybe?) It says it's a Czech style lager brewed with the love of chess in mind.

I am all over that as soon as I find it. It will be worth the 100 rating points I drop!

    Found this:

    http://www.paddockwood.com/index.htm

seems to be the guys in the know.

Our chess club has a christmas bash on the 17th, so I was hoping to get a couple of bottles to donate as prizes.

If anyone finds a uk supplier, please post.

    Phil.

edit: I sent them an email asking the same question.

An RHP lad sent me a pic of a crate sitting on his kitchen table.

Used it, plus created a new chess joke on the bus coming
home from work. Meet Endgame Ernie. some Schiller games,
Marshall blindfolded plus Lothian Entry Forms.

I only saw the Marshall game a few days ago.

I had seen h2-h3 and h3-h4 idea in another game and of course I've
seen and had a few games with double Rooks on the h-file.

it must have stemmed from there.

Had a reply from the very nice man at the brewery.
He tells me that they do not currently export to the uk and that he suspects it would be illegal to send any in the post. Canadian regulations do not allow it, but he's not sure about the law this end.
I know for sure that you can post alcohol here using Royal Mail, but I've no idea about import laws.

He finishes by saying that he hopes to be exporting his product this way next season, but it depends on many factors, so he can't promise.
