GM Daniel Gormally having announced himself as one of only 30GMs in the country and getting a draw against World No 2 Levon Aronian... decides to take the -$2000... much to the shock of his fellow competitors.

I have no idea but he didn't show that kind of balls on the show.

Danny had only £20.00 on him and decided to cut out while ahead.

He took part in 'Beat the Pack' on BBC1 in March 2013 and walked
away from that one with nothing, so this time he took the money.

The girl in question, Arianne Caoili, was the first woman who had ever spoken to Gormally for longer than ten seconds and so he naturally assumed that they were engaged. When the brazen strumpet had the temerity to dance with Aronian later in the evening Gormally took a drunken swipe at him and was quickly ousted from the nightclub (and allegedly beaten up by some of Aronian's mates outside).

When I was in college and starting to play competitive chess, we NEVER had players like her. Chess tournaments were like Monasteries with slack dress codes. I was born too early!
