Demis Hassabis

Demis Hassabis, who was a pretty strong junior in England about 15/20 years ago, is the subject of a programme about child prodigies on radio 4 in five minutes. If I recall correctly he gave up chess to become a computer games programmer.

The thing I remember most about him was that he always carried a pillow to sit on because the table was too high. (Didn't stop him from seeing enough of the board to beat me though.)

I beat him the only time we met. He was probably ten years old though!
