I've been having trouble against the caro-kann and I know I saw you will not see me play the caro-kann but i'm waiting for prayer time and though I would get 2 blitz games in.

Boo ya, i'm black in both case but once again you will not see me play the caro-kann.
Originally posted by RahimKI like the Advance Variation against the Caro-Kann. There is little theory and Kasparov and Short I think have both written a bit about it. It is a surprisingly aggressive line. It involved rapid development with Nf3, Be2, 0-0, Be3 Nbd2 and maybe c4 to attack Black's strongpoint at d5.

Which is your favourite line to play as White?
Originally posted by Positional PlayerI'll give it a bash next time. I tend to play the Borstein-Larsen variation (3.Nc3 dxe4 4.Nxe4 Nf6!? 5.Nxf6 ) but this tends to lead to draws.

Originally posted by Positional PlayerI hate playing against the caro. I used to play the classical 4.Bf5 and 4.Nd7 as white but after my otb games against the caro, basically 3 draws I've got frustrated.

I'm thinking about learning the advanced like you mentioned. I like the short line and i'm thinking about maybe playing c3. Similar to the french but black has his bishop out.
The Nc3 g4 h4 stuff is pretty crasy also. I'll see if I like that.
