Does anyone have one here? I am trying to find out if you can store games WITHOUT attaching it to a pc or laptop, the manufacture's internet site suggests not but reccommends a 'home made remedy' However when I emailed them (see below) they say it can. It just seems strange that their internet site does not say this, can anyone confirm this?

Dear Steve,

You can store at least a 1000 moves in the internal memory and when you also store the clock timing you can save at least 500 moves.
I hope this information will be of any help.

The USB power supply is a Zip Linq device. You might try to find it at the local computer shop. The url is: http://www.ziplinq.com/retractable-cable-pwr.html

Kind regards,
Bert

Thank you for replying Bert, does the use of the USB cable allow games to be saved internally i.e. without the use of a pc or laptop, and if so is it restricted by the number of games or overall moves?

Thank you for any help you give.

Steve

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your message.
I am sorry to inform you that we do not have a battery solution with a USB
port.
On the other hand we do have a usb power supply that you plug into the
mains 220 V or 110 V and connect the E-Board with a USB cable.
Perhaps this may be a solution.

Please, do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions.

Kind regards,
Bert

Hi Steve,

I would suggest that you ring up Malcolm Pein at the London Chess Centre (www.chess.co.uk). He sells the DGT Sensory Board (they call it the Fritz Sensory Board) and since he is a real chess player (as are all of the other staff at the London Chess Centre) he will probably understand your question and will be able to test out a board himself if he doesn't know the answer already.
