    I was rook up but his queen was active and it seemed I could not get out of checks. Is that right? Seemed to me critical points were at move 36 and 59. Couldn't seem to hide my king.

    King takes Bishop on move 43?
    Your Queen can come back to block a check, and soon after you can pick up that pawn, and you're just 2 pieces up.
