I did a search on Chesslab.com for the position after 7.Qxd4, and found only one result. That tells me that this line has never been considered a good path for Black to take.
I played a game on FICS that went like this
1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 Nf6 4 O-O Nxe4 5 d4 Nxd4 6 Nxd4 exd4
7 Qxd4 Nc6 8 Re1+ Be7 9 Qxg7 Nxb5 10 Qxh8 #
It seems like a good trap and was wondering if it had a name

But in truth, even after this move, Black's position is going to be quite bad. 8. Bxg5 Qxg5 9.Re1+ Be7 and Black is going to find it awfully tough to castle because it would hang his Bishop.
but if black tries to save the rook i.e Rf8 then Bh6 then Qxf8# the point is that black is messed up after Qxg7π
