I was playing a game today when I made a horrible blunder. Luckily then my opponent blundered. Sensible suggestions only, but obviously I played a move with a notation of ?? and so did they.

Black to move.

A sensible "??" move is an oxymoron.

I didn't respond because I was afraid that I might accidentally suggest a good move. 😵

Why? What's the point of asking people to find a blunder? They're all over the board. This question is thoroughly uninteresting.

I find it more interesting than a mate in 1,163. No offence meant.

What does length have to do with difficulty? I suspect you don't much like composed mates in 3 or 4 either.

What a sorry state of affairs chess problems would be in if this was the best we could do. Search for the most 'sensible blunder'? At that point, it would be time to admit that chess problems were 'played out' and abandon the art entirely.

Thankfully, your view is in the extreme minority.

I love mates in 3 or 4... how do you reach the conclusion that I don't? 😕

I didn't reach any conclusion. That's not what 'suspect' means.

Indeed. Maybe there's humor to be found it it - doubtful.

A more interesting question is "Why would I want to post this?" The psychological implications of that are somewhat more interesting.
