1. f4 c5 {I have been vaguely learning 1... c5 as a reply to 1.f4} 2. e4 Nb8c6 3. Ng1f3 e6 4. e5 d5 5. Bf1b5 Bc8d7 6. O-O Nc6xe5 {He (white) apparently gave me the pawn.} 7. fxe5 Bd7xb5 {As for this position, I did not like his rook at f1 on his open f-file on my weak f7 square, especially with my king-side undeveloped and far from castling, and his annoying pawn at e5. I do like being a pawn up.} 8. d3 {I am sure we are out of book here?} h6 {I really wanted to develop a piece but went with h6 to fight his available play on king side. I had considered Be7 but was thinking to move my Ne7 first, and for now just do h6 to slow any play at g5.} 9. a4 {I think my bishop (black) is bothering him (white) on the f1-a6 diagonal.} Bb5a6 {Keeping the bishop on that diagonal. I like that his (white) d-pawn is pinned.} 10. b3 {White apparently preparing for his (or my) c4 pawn push.} c4 {I need to be developing pieces (and castling ASAP) but instead I make a pawn move and over-extend my center flank c-pawn at that, giving up d4. Yet, he has to be careful advancing his d-pawn to d4, and I like opening up the f1-a6 diagonal if possible. Also, my other bishop may now can go to c5 (on his exposed king) instead of e7, leaving e7 for my N.} 11. bxc4 dxc4 12. c3 {? Apparently he does not want me to open that a6-f1 diagonal but he gives me another pawn with my next move cxd3, and thus I will also have an advanced pawn.} cxd3 13. Bc1d2 {a6-f1 diagonal stays closed.} Bf8c5 {He has given me opportunity in the game.} 14. Kg1h1 Ng8e7 {Developing} 15. Nb1a3 O-O 16. Na3b5 Ne7f5 17. Rf1e1 b6 {Giving up on the a6-f1 diagonal. The a8-h1 diagonal is better anyway now.} 18. Ra1a2 Ba6b7 19. g4 {? A gift.} Nf5h4 20. Re1f1 Nh4xf3 21. Rf1xf3 {I could now BxR and win the exchange but instead go for Qd5. His threatened knight fork at c7 after my upcoming Qd5 is moot.} Qd8d5 {Threatening to mate with the bishop sitting at b7.} 22. Ra2a1 Qd5xf3 {White resigns.} 0-1
