How does black go about developing the c8 bishop? I put it on a6 (similar to the French)... the question presumes that Be6 is not a good choice.

An early h3 against the Pirc seems to be quite annoying.

I have just started playing the Pirc as black, and far from an expert, but after 3.d3 I would usually play g6 to fianchetto the Bishop at f8. The c8 bishop is happy for the moment, and can go to b7 after c6, and b5 chasing the white c4 bishop?

You actually went into a boring line of the philidor...and black has other things to do with his bishop then move it to g4.
