Thank you very much, Korch, for a very
interesting article about quiet openings
and positional understanding.
An absolute "must-read" for everyone!

And please comment the article!

Got my eyes on it right now!

Edit: The second gama analysis is going to fit me just fine since I'm starting to play the bishop's opening.

A couple of really nice games by Korch, especially the win over Sveshnikov. In the meantime, I want to personally thank all of you numbskulls who ran him off -- we're all the poorer by his absence. At least he's posting on your blog. Thanks Claus!

I think that he ran HIMSELF off. But I think he was a huge asset to this forum, and I hope he comes back!

Try not to embarrass yourself any further by opening your mouth.

Its idiot comments such as this one that keep players like Korch away. Higher rated players generally come to a forum to - surprise - discuss chess. When little kids with too little supervision pollute the forum with unrelated vomit, not having anything of worth to contribute but lacking the impulse control to keep their idiot mouths shut anyway, the RHP community is made that much poorer.

Actually yours and many others who comment in the chess forum always add much to the discussion. In fact, by and large most of the people who contribute add much to the discussion even if its only to pose questions. And to that end, players of any rating could contribute a lot.

But after a while you notice the same few individuals who never contribute anything worth reading and feel they have to derail every thread they can by turning it into their own little romper room. Oddly enough I suspect some are old enough to know better. And whatever their age, the mods seem content to turn a blind eye to their relentless trolling.

Your observations are quite true...unfortunately.

Yah I kinda liked Korch... obviously a bit of a whiner if he can't take a cheezy little chess forum but he did know his chess...
