I am thinking of giving a "chess course" to a buddy at work as a Birthday present. It would be the icing of the cake to add a gift certificate for a annotation of a game by a true expert.

    1. Where can I find such an expert?
    2. What is a reasonable price to pay for the service?

Ask David Tebb if he will do it. I think he is a Master level player. Maybe he could help you find such a player if he will not give a lesson?

Key word search "chess coach". IM charged $20 to $30 a hour. A GM wanted $40 a hour.

I used to take lessons from GM Alexander Baburin, he offers an annotation service.

    Just google him!

Last I heard, Lev Alburt was charging upwards of $80 an hour. That was a while back though.
