tell username Hello dude!
or
say Hello dude!
which sends your message to whoever you're currently playing, or the last opponent if you're not playing anymore.
babaschess has a special chat window for talking, in addition to the commandline.
you can see your adjourned games by typing in 'stored'. or 'stored username' if you want to see someone else's stored games.
Originally posted by ZephyrWsure there is. FICS is basicly a unix-kind of commandline chess environment. babaschess etc. are only front-ends to the gnarly commandline experience. look for a 'console window' or similar in the menus. babaschess is very good, and saves you from most of the commandline stuff...
Thank for all who replied. I have baba but I have not yet used it with FISC. I´ll try and tell later what happened. In first reply to me was told write "tell...". Okay but with present biard there is no area for writing when playing.
Originally posted by ZephyrWopen up babaschess, the first time it asks for connection details, but you can also input them from file/preferences/server. click on 'automatically connect on start-up' and you're ready to go.
Do no tknow how to play baba at FIcs!
from info window, you can see from 'sought graph' what kind of games are available at the time. click on a suitable opponent, and the game will start. from 'seek'-button you can post your own challenges.
