i just registered for FICS but now when i try to connect to the server, after a bit of trying it pops up with an error report saying this

Error logging in:

Port 5000: Connection timed out: Connect

what can i do about this?

works fine for me. DO you have a firewall? You need to open port 5000 to freechess.org
