FIDE titles

$200 would get you a piece of paper. But for $1 you could get an entire roll from Walmart 🙂

I suspect that some percentage of the time the ratings are not Fide ratings so would therefore not be eligible for Fide titles.

Some directors might use national federation ratings as placeholders for pairing purposes and could be considered better than treating players as unrated.
