    Firefox, by default, is MUCH safer than IE. When you combine the "No Scripts" add-on, it's bulletproof.

    There is an extension for Firefox that allows you to open a link in an IE tab (still inside Firefox itself). You can also set it to always open certain pages in embedded IE.

    Surprisingly it's called IE Tab.

    I have never had an issue with Firefox and highly recommend it to everyone.
