Here from the Chessbase site: CNN is reporting that according to Fischer's attorney, Masako Suzuki, the former champ had signed marriage papers with Japan Chess Association President Miyoko Watai (picture left), which would be filed later Monday. It is not immediately clear whether he would be allowed to marry and whether marriage to a Japanese citizen would enable him to avoid deportation.
Miyoko goes on to say that she and Fischer have been living together for some time and that they met a year after the Spassky match when she was selected to play him over theboard.
Talk about a marriage made in desperation! She's such an ugly old bag she'd probably take the first thing that came along,even if it is a waste of DNA,like Fischer. He's grasping at straws-he has no assurances that they still won't deport his sorry ass. I'll give 2 to 1,that if they do get married,and he's allowed to stay,that he dumps her before the ink is dry on the marriage certificate.
