I'm playing one such game on RHP now. We set it up as a set piece game.

It's interesting! Unfortunately some of the rules, like castling, don't work.

if future of chess is 960, the future died already in the 1970s.

if future of chess is 960, the future died already in the 1970s.
Hmmmm, could that be why I was questioning the statement?
