Alas sometimes a whole Marshall game seems like a typographical error.
(although all the great players appear to a have at least one simul disaster on their CV.)
Shoup - Marshall Sioux City Simltaneous 1906
Marshall is giving the simul and it is him that soon ends up in the soup.
1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 exd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nxc6 bxc6 6. Bd3 Rb8 {One of Marsahll's lesser known opening ideas and this should possibly go from the board to the dustbin. Frank is gettiing the lad out of the books. Possibly designed to prevent the next move as it leaves the b2 pawn hanging.} 7. Bg5 d5 8. e5 Qe7 {Black is getting in deeeper and deeper. 8...h6 had to be played.} 9. O-O Qxe5 {He's bluffing again on that b2 pawn. White will not defend it. He's after the King.} 10. Re1 Ne4 11. Bxe4 Qxg5 12. Bxd5+ Be7 13. Bxc6+ {Not looking good is it.} 13... Kf8 14. Qd8+ {Marshall has been Marshalled. I wonder how many times White showed this game to his grand children.} 14... Bxd8 15. Re8 {Apparently the onlookers showered the board with gold pieces.}

Originally posted by greenpawn34 I don't recognise it michael, a few games on here come close, but not exact.
Ok.
I should have explained this a bit better. I was just wondering, with your expansive knowledge of games on here, whether there were in fact, many similar games to this one. It is actually a 5 minute game I played (as black) on another site. It turned out ok, considering I was at work and and had a few distractions.
